Exciting permanent HR Manager role based in Oxford walking distance from the train station. This is a full time role with hybrid working.
**Client Details**
My client based in Oxford are looking for a HR Manager to manage a team of 4 people. This is a generalist role to focus on streamlining and improving processes, advise and influence managers on HR related matters, build and maintain strong relationshipswith key internal stakeholders and project work. This is a permanent role paying £35k - £40k.
**Description**
HR Manager responsibilities:
- Ensure the HR systems are being utilised and developed to their full potential.
- Ensure that all personal records and HR data is accurate and up to date.
- Advise and influence managers to successful HR outcomes providing, where applicable, management coaching to ensure professional staff management practices are consistently applied.
- Offer help and advice on a range of personal and professional issues as required.
- Ensure that personnel files are compiled and maintained in all formats taking account of the GDPR and Information Security policies.
- Deputise for the Head of HR in their absence or as directed. Attending meetings and representing the HR to internal and external groups.
- To manage, develop and train members of the HR Team ensuring that they are supported, and equipped to be developed and trained how to deliver a high quality service.
- Ensure the team have up to date knowledge on all the company policies and procedures relevant to HR. Keep up to date with UK employment law legislation
- Ensure up to date knowledge and experience of HR systems and processes
- Attend Internal and External Committee's as requested by the Head of HR Operations and Wellbeing
- Manage the new staff on-boarding process, carrying out inductions, arranging health and Safety briefings, company cards and ensuring right to work checks are carried out.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key internal stakeholders. Proactively engage with key stakeholders to anticipate requirements, influence decisions and execute innovative solutions.
- Accurately manage, report and interpret data in various HR databases and systems
- Interpret and use HR data to drive successful business outcomes with key stakeholders Projects
- Partnering with the Recruitment Manager and OD Lead to co-lead on projects eg Apprentice Project within the business including development of an apprentice group, meeting with apprentices on a monthly basis and providing both work and personal trainingto assist them during their apprenticeships.
- Responsible for undertaking project work to improve HR processes and procedures from initial development to implementation. Regularly review processes to ensure they remain relevant, legally compliant and efficient.
- Undertake HR projects as and when they arise, taking ownership and accountability. Also to share new processes with the HR Team. Create and develop training where appropriate for Line Managers and individuals.
**Profile**
The successful HR Manager experience/ skills:
- Proven experience in a Senior HR Advisor/ Generalist role (or equivalent) delivering successful employee relation case outcomes
- Proven experience of managing or supervising a team
- Comprehensive knowledge of HR practises and UK employment law; e.g. GDPR, equality and diversity, immigration law
- An understanding of the confidential nature of personnel administration
- A high customer service ethic, with demonstrable experience of delivering to high standards in a professional environment
- Demonstrable interpersonal skills and communication skills; with the ability to influence effectively at all levels, persuade and guide managers when making operational decisions
- Strong IT skills; confident user of Microsoft Office, with experience of using HRIS systems, social media and assessment systems
- A track record of establishing and maintaining excellent working relationships with external and internal stakeholders
