Damicor currently have an exciting opportunity for an Engineering Manager to join a UK based manufacturing business based in Hayes.
what you'll be responsible for:

- Engineering aspects of site Safety, Health & Environment
- Ensuring that stock is made and dispatched on time in full through improvements in efficiency and productivity of the production and packing lines.
- Ensuring that the utilities' needs for the site are fulfilled, managed, and optimized and that they are treated according to defined Health & Safety and food safety criteria.
- Scoping and landing the engineering aspects of all CAPITAL, Innovation and Change projects within the site.
- Implementing engineering processes and standards improvements and ensuring that measures to increase compliance are in place.
- Site Repairs & Maintenance budget and control and production equipment wastage levels and ensuring these come in on or below target.
what looking for in you:

- Experience leading an engineering team in a manufacturing environment
- High standard of engineering problem solving
- Track record of leading projects within a manufacturing environment with effective immediate results
- Detailed understanding of the design and maintenance of automated production & packing machinery
- Maintenance experience including maintenance budget preparation and control (preferably including exposure to preventive maintenance planning)
- Knowledge and practical enforcement of technically complex safety areas e.g. Electrical Safety, Machinery Safety and Work at Height
- Collaborative and strong communication skills
- A thirst for taking our manufacturing facility to the next level, benchmarking against competitors and finding ways to ensure we become best in class
- Quickly become the engineering lead and co-ordinator for all engineering site activities.
- Understand the key barriers to efficiency improvement on the production lines and challenge these.
- Engaging and ability to influence at all levels across the site and into wider teams
- Take responsibility for the team and ensure that they implement permanent fixes to the correctly identified root causes
