At IDH, we are aspiring to be the best home improvement company in Edinburgh & the Lothians, and we are looking for a working site foreman to join our great team. Our work is primarily Extensions, Renovations, Newbuilds as well as some commercial work and our own developments.

As a high-end home improvement specialist, we get to work in some of the best and most beautiful homes in the country delivering a flawless quality of work for our client to live in, as well as an enjoyable, stress-free experience throughout their build.

This Working Site Foreman position gives you the responsibility of running your own project as you will be aware of the full project, managing other joiners and sub-contractors to ensure we meet targets and deadlines on the build whilst also being physically involved, on the tools helping build the project when you aren’t managing it.

Your immediate team on your site would be yourself as the Foreman, a joiner and an apprentice. You will also have direct access to our contracts manager for any assistance you need.

**Salary and Benefits**
- The site foreman rate is £22.25 per hour (CIS)
- Monthly Bonus opportunity through our squad of the month Bonus system.
- £50/month mobile phone contribution or company phone.
- £25 per week fuel payment when the project is 15 miles or more away from office.

**Main Duties**

Your responsibilities include but are not limited to,
- Read and fully understand the programme, construction drawings and details
- Take measurements and create accurate material and works lists
- Set out works accurately
- Manage your site on a week-by-week basis ensuring all targets are met on the job programme to ensure the project is finished on time
- Manage the IDH joiners and apprentice joiners to ensure good time keeping, high quality work and that they always have work to do.
- Train the apprentice joiners how to complete work to the IDH standard
- Manage the Sub-contractors, contact them to attend site when required, ensure they are working efficiently, safely and to a high standard
- Ensure all trades are doing the works noted as per our site programme and subbies packs
- Spotting variations and passing detailed information to the Quantity Surveyor so he can prepare a variation for the client
- Attending or holding weekly site meetings to mark up the site programme board with completed work and updates then delegating tasks to the team
- Have planning skills to ensure that you always have materials and labour to hit the next 2 week works targets as per programme.
- Agree with the Contracts Manager the bulk order materials from take-off and getting all other items ordered and on site for when needed
- Ensuring all site actions are compliant with Health and Safety requirements
- Preparing completion / snagging lists and working through the list to complete the works to the highest standard
- Ensure the site is kept secure, clean and tidy at all times
- Ensure yourself and all IDH staff have IDH branded clothing on
- Complete Weekly Checklist for site
- Ensure all IDH staff are working to the hours recorded
- Manage your time efficiently to be productive on the tools and manage the site

- Being a first-class tradesmen who cares about the quality of the product.
- Being able to communicate effectively at all levels.
- You must be confident in your decision-making ability and be able to make decisions fast.
- Ability to manage your time effectively.
- Be open and willing to learn and change.
- To have problem-solving skills with the ability to anticipate problems and resolve issues

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £22.25 per hour
