- To support implementation of the NHS Long Term Prevention Plan for Treating Tobacco Dependence within Secondary Care
- Deliver specialist, evidence-based treating tobacco dependence education to a range of healthcare professionals at SFT to support the treatment of patients
- To work within clearly defined occupational policies and procedures. Work is managed rather than supervised and outcomes assessed at agreed intervals
- Provide a high-quality specialist tobacco dependence treatment service for SFT patients
- Act as a professional role model promoting evidenced-based, high-quality patient care
- Provide support for SFT staff in relation to their work with smokers
- Provide opportunistic brief advice to smokers within clinical environments (patients, carers, staff, visitors)
