**Your New Role**:
Global Privacy Services is a centralized team of privacy professionals who work alongside lawyers, product and data teams to drive compliance across the entire enterprise. The team provides services under five core functions: Privacy Projects and Operations, Privacy Compliance and Assurance, Privacy Service Center, Vendor Privacy and Privacy Technology. We are currently seeking a Manager, Privacy Compliance and Assurance to drive privacy compliance efforts and lead workstreams on large-scale compliance projects.
**Your Role Accountabilities**:
**PRIVACY COMPLIANCE**
- Support global privacy compliance projects and initiatives in accordance with legal and regulatory requirements
- Partner closely with and support the work of India based compliance team
- Interpret privacy legal requirements and help provide targeted privacy guidance to both internal team members and external partners to maintain compliance and minimize regulatory exposure
- Conduct privacy compliance testing by devising necessary test scripts (define the criteria for products to pass or fail privacy compliance requirements and transform these criteria into test scripts for the team to use). Execute testing and review testing results to adhere to privacy compliance to reduce risk
- Develop comprehensive privacy guidance for necessary remediations. Support internal partners, including product owners, technical product leads, and other compliance teams, to effectively implement these remediations driven by identified privacy risks
- Assist with developing and defining new and improved workflows for the team
- Align compliance testing with activities of other teams within the wider organization
- Understand how digital tracking technologies are used across company digital properties, including SDKs, pixels, and cookies, and guide product and engineering teams to drive compliance with privacy standards and regulatory requirements
- Track compliance metrics and proactively identify areas for remediation
**PRIVACY ASSURANCE**
- Assess and make continuous improvements to data inventory, tagging, flows and mapping across the enterprise
- Aid in maintaining and enhancing the WBD Privacy Governance Framework, including the enterprise privacy control framework and associated policies, standards, and guidelines
- Manage the library of standards and guidance for privacy, partnering with lawyers, data governance team and brand support functions to provide accurate and up-to-date guidance is made available to businesses and development teams
- Generate data extracts to support WBDs Records of Processing Activity (ROPA)
**STAKEHOLDER MANAGEMENT**
- Collaborate with privacy professionals, lawyers, and product and technology stakeholders on data-driven governance and compliance initiatives across Warner Bros Discovery’s business.
- Partner closely with Data Governance, Privacy, Legal, Security and Technology teams
- Conduct training / provide guidance as needed
**MANAGE DATA & PRIVACY INITIATIVES**
- Oversee the work of permanent/temporary resources on a project basis
**Qualifications & Experiences**:
- Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience
- 3+ years professional experience in privacy
- 2+ years experience as a manager
- Knowledge of industry-accepted privacy frameworks and privacy regulations (GDPR, CPRA, etc.)
- Experienced with manipulating large data sets
- Experience creating data maps
- Experience driving compliance with data privacy standards, policies or projects
- Exceptional organizational and project management skills and attention to detail
- In-depth knowledge of digital tracking technologies
- MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Teams)
- Please note that this is a hybrid position. Working onsite 3 days per week is required_.
**Not Required but preferred experience**:
- Knowledge of and passion for media, entertainment, and technology industries (including key players, growth trends and drivers, new media models, industry structure, etc.)
- Certifications such as: CIPP, CIPM, CIPT, CISM, CDPSE.
- Experience with Data Catalog Tools or Privacy Platforms e.g. Collibra, OneTrust
- Experienced reporting on large scale datastores e.g. Snowflake
- Familiarity with streaming and sim
