**Felicity Handley**Do you have a keen eye for detail, ability to balance a diverse workload, and a background in Financial Crime Defence? Our award-winning, not-for-profit client is looking for a Senior Financial Crime Officer to join their team. Our client’s goal is to provide cost-friendly and flexible finance, aiming for inclusive future for everyone whilst sustaining and growing their social impact.

**Responsibilities for the Senior Financial Crime Officer**
- Oversee and advise various activities for the first line-of defence
- Review and authorise referrals to the Money Laundering Reporting Officer
- MLRO), for example, high risk customers/payments
- Delegate authority from the MLRO for suspicious activity (SAR) reporting to the national crime agency
- Support for the execution of court orders or other legal orders
- Financial crime monitoring
- Identifying areas of non-compliance with regulation, internal policy, and procedures
- Advise the business on all areas of day-to-day financial crime related policy and procedures.
- Provide oversight of product governance arrangements for financial crime risks

**Requirements for the Senior Financial Crime Officer**
- Experience in second line-of defence advising on Financial Crime matters.
- Significant experience of managing a complex workload in relation to financial crime activities, along with strong capability to engage with internal and external business partners.
- Significant compliance experience gained in a financial sector, or other similar environment working in Financial Crime
- Comprehensive knowledge of regulations relating to Financial Crime Compliance.
- Maintain up to date professional knowledge and expertise through monitoring of charity related legislation, sanctions, anti-money laundering, and terrorist financing.
