This newly created position of Component Assembly Planner is responsible for ensuring a smooth and consistent flow of work into the department by reviewing the MRP system demand, coordinating with key stakeholders, and developing effective loading plans. Working closely with the CA Lead Technician, to ensure efficient use of resources, and mínimal downtime, this role plays a vital part in aligning production schedules with material availability, labour capacity, and business priorities.

You will monitor material availability to ensure no delays, track progress, highlight risks to delivery, support replanning if required, support NPI and continual improvements, work with the purchasing team to look for subcontract opportunities, co-ordinate with Lead Technicians, Engineering, and Stores, communicating clearly at all times to resolve conflicts or bottlenecks.

**What We’re Looking For**:
Essential Experience & Qualifications
- Experience in a production planning, scheduling, or coordination role within a manufacturing environment—preferably in components assembly or a similar setting.
- Strong working knowledge of MRP/ERP systems and production order management.
- Ability to interpret bills of materials, routings, and manufacturing documentation.
- Excellent coordination, communication, and influencing skills across functions.
- Detail-oriented with a structured approach to managing competing priorities and deadlines.
- Collaborative mindset and the ability to build strong working relationships with technicians, engineers, and managers.

Desirable
- Relevant qualifications in manufacturing, production planning, or supply chain (e.g., HNC, HND, or degree level).
- APICS / CPIM or equivalent planning certification is advantageous.
- Proficiency with Exact MRP system.

**Salary and Benefits**: The salary for this role is £30,000 to £35,000 and comes with 25 days holiday and the option to purchase an additional 10 days of holiday, health cash plan, 5% employer pension contribution, life assurance, employee assistance programme, and various wellbeing initiatives. Plus, enjoy a 4.5 day working week with an early finish every Friday, giving you more time to kickstart your weekend
