Operations Manager

**Operations Manager -£30k - £40k dependent on experience
- Romsey, Hampshire**

**The Role**

Do you possess previous experience within an operations role? Are you experienced at managing and coordinating teams? If so, we have an exciting new challenge for you.

Proseptic Drainage Solutions is in search for a competent and experienced Operations Manager who will join an exciting and dynamic team, within a growing organisation.

Reporting to the Managing Director, you will be responsible for coordinating all our installation projects. You will be the first point of contact for the site team’s customers and continue to work with them and our colleagues to provide an excellent service,end to end.

**Key Responsibilities**:
The key responsibilities of an Operations Manager include, but are not limited to:
**Office Administration**
- Acknowledge Quote Acceptance Forms received from customers
- Manage and assign installation teams to calendar
- Communicate pre-jetting information with Small Works
- Communicate delivery information with customers
- Providing support information (installation only)
- Communicate changes to diary/work start date with customers and Purchasing Manager

**Customer Service**
- Point of contact - customer service to all clients throughout installation works

**Installations Support**
- Handling site specific queries or stock/delivery issues
- Providing materials and plant information for Site Managers

**Yard Management**
- Organise/book jobs and calendar
- Collate stock lists for Purchasing
- Oversee housekeeping at yard
- Oversee/Approve purchasing of yard stock
- Coordinate in-house site deliveries
- Handling diary/calendar changes

**Services Department**
- Liaise with Senior Engineer to book Progress Visits (6-8wks post-completion)
- Remedials - have authorised, organise with customer and engineer/s
- Vehicle/ Fleet Management including digger etc
- Health and Safety Compliance
- Training

**Business Development**
- Developing strategies, implementing and auditing new procedures and protocols
- Plan and develop business opportunities and growth.
- Procurement and management of employees/subcontractors
- Recruiting, development and discipline of staff where appropriate.
- Continuous improvement to maximise efficiency and profitability.
- Developing and sharing best practice to maximise performance (Toolbox Talks)

**The Person**

The key skills and qualities of an Operations Manager are:

- Experience in an operations role is essential.
- Be able to demonstrate previous experience of project management, in a fast-paced customer focused environment, within drainage would be advantageous but not essential
- Proven experience of delegation, flexibility and business finance knowledge
- Ability to think on your feet & respond to complications calmly an efficiently
- Experience managing & coordinating teams
- Confident in using IT office tools, in particular excel and CRM systems
- A team player & a great communicator
- Able to organise your workload and prioritise tasks
- Highly organised, and be thorough with great attention to detail
- A “can do” attitude and a good sense of humour is a must
