With 8 depots across the UK, M Group Services Plant & Fleet Solutions provide innovative plant and fleet asset management solutions across M Group Services. We provide our business with more than 9,000 vehicles and over 25,000 owned or externally hired plant assets.
Our team has grown rapidly and we are responsible for the supply and management of specialist equipment and vehicles, supplying the Water, Energy, Transport, Data and Telecommunication sectors.
The Specialist Plant & Fleet tea are responsible for the provision of our specialist plant & equipment to various overhead line projects across the UK.
**Who you are?**
You will strip, service, load test and certify a range of mechanical lifting and other specialist equipment. Providing adequate stocks of equipment to meet both site demands and warehouse stock requirements. Always ensuring that all necessary certificates are recorded with the STE Office Team, working to strict deadlines.

**As the Lifting Equipment Fitter, you’ll get the opportunity to**:
- Actively participate in all safety and improvement initiatives as required
- Strip, service, load test and certify a range of mechanical lifting and other specialist equipment. Including Lever Chain Hoists, Tirfors, Motorised Spacer Chairs, Running Out Blocks, Hydraulic and Electrical equipment.
- Load test lifting equipment and specialist items, identifying and evaluating the most appropriate method of testing.
- Carry out and certify scheduled on-site inspections of equipment in line with LOLER and PUWER Regulations in liaison with the STE Office team. This involves staying away from home across the UK and ROI, often at short notice.
- Load and unload vehicles taking equipment to and from construction sites, including articulated lorries, using Fork Lift Trucks and Telehandler’s
**What you’ll bring**:
- Knowledge of bespoke equipment to the Overhead Line Industry
- Good knowledge of LOLER and PUWER requirements
- Full driving License
- Good communicational skills
