One of our client school's in Durham are looking for a passionate School Caretaker to work on a part time basis, as soon as possible.

As the School Caretaker you will make a difference in the school's community on a daily basis by contributing to the provision of a safe, high-quality learning environment. The hours of the role would be 2pm to 6.30pm Monday - Friday.
- Support the ethos of the school.
- Ensure the smooth running of the school site and building.
- Be highly motivated and have good problem solving skills.
- Have awareness of health and safety, security and hygiene issues.
- Assist with the maintenance and upkeep of the premises, including fixtures and fittings and furniture.
- Undertake inspections to ensure necessary safe operation and that the legislative requirements are met.
- Carry out any cleaning duties required both in school and on the school grounds.
- Enjoy working as part of a team, be adaptable and supportive of colleagues.
- Have excellent organisation and communication skills.

The school is located in the DL16 postcode of Spennymoor, and the position is needed as soon as possible. This role will start on a temporary basis to cover a short term absence.

**Requirements**:
The desired School Caretaker will have;
- Experience of working as a Caretaker or Facilities Manager in a previous role
- Following all health and safety procedures
- A passion for working for a school
- An ability to work as part of a team
