Material Handler

**Main Duties & Responsibilities**:
The Material Handler is responsible for the safe and efficient handling of materials in the warehouse. This includes wrapping pallets, collecting rejects from assembly lines, weighing scrap, and sending it to the recycle centre. The Material Handler must also be able to despatch and receive materials, book in items, use Sys Pro software, operate a wrapping machine and pallet trucks and forklift, read, and follow work instructions, conduct cycle counts and stock takes, inspect warehouse equipment, consolidate stock, transfer stock between warehouses, and prepare tools for service. The Material Handler must have good work ethics and be able to work independently and as part of a team.

**Essential Criteria**:

- No formal qualifications required.
- Ability to fluently speak, understand, read, and write English.
- Ability to read and follow work instructions.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
- 1 - 2 years’ experience working in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
- Able to lift and move goods and materials within HSE guidelines.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail.
- Strong work ethic
- Willingness to learn new skills.

**Desirable Criteria**
- Certified training in the safe use and operation of materials handling equipment
- Ability to operate a wrapping machine and pallet trucks and forklift.
