Caretaker/ Cleaner
Cleaning Role -Grade G02 (£12.65 per hour)
(Monday to Friday) 15 hours
Caretaker Role 7.5 hours
TERM TIME ONLY WITH NO TERM TIME LEAVE
PLUS ONE WEEK OF WORK IN THE SUMMER HOLIDAYS
The Governing body seeks to appoint a school cleaner/caretaker to join our friendly primary school team. This job can be joint.

Caretaker role
- We are looking for a dependable and proactive Caretaker. This vital role ensures the school site is safe, secure, and well-maintained for pupils, staff, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities:

- Open and lock up the school premises daily, including gates, doors, and windows
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure safety and security
- Monitor and maintain health & safety standards across the site
- Carry out basic maintenance and repairs (e.g. changing light bulbs, fixing locks)
- Ensure outdoor areas are safe and tidy (e.g. gritting paths, weeds and clearing debris)

Cleaning role
- The range of work carried out by the cleaning staff covers the cleaning of all rooms, toilets, corridors, offices and other such areas. You will be expected to:

- Carry out work to the required standard
- Work cooperatively with the others on the site.
- Comply with the Council’s health and safety practices.
- Use cleaning equipment and materials in the prescribed manner, ensuring safe usage and storage.
- Complete any required paperwork
- Carry out any other reasonable work instructions.
