**The Role**:
The job holder will be the responsible person for the daily LPG related operations at the Belfast Terminal Site covering ship offloading, product storage, security and administration activities and distribution tasks; with a special focus on health and safety compliance and site operations across the LPG storage COMAH site, as well as service and efficiency improvements.

**Responsibilities**:

- With the support of the National Terminals Manager, promote visible leadership for Health & Safety issues to ensure legal and company standards compliance.
- Supporting the National Terminals Manager in managing day-to-day operational storage and stock management
- Ensure the management of challenges relating to process control deviations and adverse weather conditions that may require prioritised resolution to maintain LPG supply, customer service and site integrity.
- Represent Calor with authorities (Belfast Harbour, HSENI etc) and emergency services (Fire Service, PSNI etc) and local community as required to enhance company’s reputation. Be part of the Emergency Response Team, ensuring preparedness always maintained.
- Liaise with Supply Manager on inbound LPG supplies and co-ordinate ship discharge activities.
- Liaise with Maintenance and Project Engineering teams to ensure planning of all maintenance and project activities around supply and shipping schedules.
- Support resolution of infrequent out of hours issues involving the site when escalated by Security.
- Ensure that all stock movements are balanced daily and monthly to physical stock. Report stocks daily to National Terminals Manager and balanced reconciliation with Finance at month end.
- Inform Belfast Harbour Authority with Ship out-turns to facilitated cargo invoicing.
- Liaise with security provider on holiday rostering/training of Security personnel, or any other issues.
- Ensuring that all visitors have signed in and are logged on time and attendance muster system and all safety protocols are complete and filed where necessary before entry to depot.
- Manage Permit to work system for all site activities in conjunction with projects and maintenance teams.

**Scale of role**:

- Responsible for Operational tasks of Upper Tier COMAH site Belfast.
- Safe storge of all products on site with storage vessels and associated pipework.

**Level of Decision Making required**:

- Safety - Make proactive and reactive decisions on safety audit and inspection findings. Prioritise work based on risk assessment. Understand when to refer to higher levels. Ensure that all permits and/or RAMS where applicable are Issued in conjunction with Engineers and maintenance teams to help ensure all work is carried out as safely as possible. Review RAMS in advance of works and escalate any issues with the Engineering Manager
- Finance -To closely control operational expenditure. Assist the National Terminals Manager and Production Manager in the development of operational budgets.
- Staff - Through proactive leadership ensure a productive and co-operative work atmosphere is maintained.
- Manage resources, budgets, and processes for review by the National Terminals Manager.

**Stakeholder management**:

- Develop strong working relationships with key stakeholders ensuring collaboration in the drive for efficiency and improvement throughout the company to meet the needs of the business and the company’s objectives.
- Communicate clearly and concisely with all stakeholders. Ensure content and detail is appropriate to enable them and you to make informed decisions based on the appropriate, accurate and prompt sharing of information.

**The Person Specification**:

- Competent person with ideally 5 years experience in the fuel storage and distribution industry.
- The ability to communicate with individuals of all levels.
- Ability to develop and nurture relationships across a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Excellent communication and IT skills.
