**1. ROLE**

**Purpose of Role**:
Waiting Staff - To provide service to customers of the Sparks Community Café, providing fresh cooked food and drinks as requested to the table.

Main Responsibilities

1. To greet customers and seat them as they come into the Café.

2. To take orders from customers and place orders with the Kitchen as required by the Cook/Manager.

3. To keep the café spaces clean and tidy at all times.

4. To take money/donations from customers and keep safe as required by the systems and processes.

5. To ensure a professional and courteous attitude to customers of the Café.

6. To work closely with the Kitchen Staff at all times.

7. Keep shelves and supplies stocked.

8. To work such hours as are agreed with the Manager across the week.

9. To assist with services directly if, as or when necessary.

**2. Person Specification**

Waiting Staff must be able to;
- Be confident in meeting people
- Understand their responsibilities within the t'eam
- Provide a professional service at all times
- Be smart in appearance at all times
- Ensure that uniform is clean and tidy at all times
- Ensure that you are on time and that all tasks are complete before leaving for the day

**3. Health & Safety**

The post holder will be required to uphold and abide by Resolve’s Health and Safety principles and code of conduct and to take all reasonable steps to ensure both their own safety in the work place as well as that of their colleagues and service users.

To ensure Health and Safety standards are maintained and risk is mitigated to the lowest level possible by:

- Maintaining good housekeeping standards within own work area, immediately reporting hazards and ensuring they are resolved in a timely manner.
- Bringing to the attention of the relevant party any hazards identified outside of own work area

**Job Types**: Part-time, Temporary contract
Contract length: 6 months
Part-time hours: 16 per week

**Salary**: From £10.42 per hour
