The Dukes Bistro in St Osyth near Clacton-on-Sea has recently reopened following refurbishment. We are looking for a kitchen assistant to work alongside the Head Chef/ Co-owner. Previous experience is desirable but not essential. Your principal roll will be to help keep the kitchen clean and tidy at all times. This will involve washing dishes and ensuring rubbish and food waste is safely disposed of. Some basic food preparation may also be required. The kitchen can be very busy at times and the ability to work quickly under pressure is essential. Precise salary details and hours of work will be discussed at interview. Full or part time hours may be available. The post will involve weekend, public holiday and evening work.Immediate start available.

**Responsibilities**:

- Assist in meal preparation and food safety procedures in a fast-paced restaurant kitchen environment
- Follow recipes and guidelines to ensure consistent quality and presentation of food
- Prepare ingredients by chopping, slicing, and measuring as needed
- Cook and assemble dishes according to menu specifications
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area
- Assist with inventory management and restocking supplies as needed

**Experience**:

- Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant setting is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of culinary techniques and food preparation methods is a plus
- Ability to work well in a team environment and follow instructions
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to learn and take on new tasks as needed

**Salary**: £8.50-£10.50 per hour

**Experience**:

- Chef: 1 year (preferred)
- Cooking: 1 year (preferred)
- Kitchen experience: 1 year (preferred)

- St. Osyth (required)

Ability to Relocate:
