**Multi-drop Van delivery drivers**

**Gateshead**

**£13.06 per hour / Overtime: £19.72 per hour (inclusive of holiday pay)**

**Start date: ASAP**

Our client is a well known and well established international parcel delivery company with depots all over the UK and Europe. You will be working out of their depot in either Newcastle or Gateshead.

**Duties of the Job**:

- Safely and efficiently drive a delivery van transporting packets and parcels to customers
- Monday to Friday with additional weekday and weekend overtime available
- Start times approx. 09:00, finishing 17:30
- Approx. 50 stops per day
- Doing deliveries as well as collections, so drivers need to be up to speed as quickly as possible
- Plan and follow the most efficient routes for timely deliveries
- Load and unload packages and ensure they are properly secured
- Communicate with customers in a professional and courteous manner
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations

- Training given both in the classroom and out on the road with an experienced driver

**Applicants must possess the following**:

- Valid driver's license with no more than 6 minor points
- Commercial driving experience is advantageous but not essential
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members
- Good organizational skills

**Job Types**: Full-time, Temporary contract, Fixed term contract, Temp to perm

Contract length: 2 months

**Salary**: £13.06-£19.72 per hour
