**Building a sustainable tomorrow** BAM Nuttall are looking to recruit an experienced and motivated Commercial Assistant who can strengthen our existing team, delivering large civil engineering projects across Scotland. The projects are predominantly within the energy infrastructure sector, building new substations to support Scotland's transition to net Zero. **Your work environment** - This role will be based at our Kilsyth office (Glasgow) - BAM operates a flexible working policy - People are at the heart of what we do at Bam. We're on an exciting journey to get us there by recruiting the very best talent to join us regardless of race, colour, religion, national or ethnic origin, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, age, disability or other characteristics. **Your mission** As a Commercial Assistant, you will be responsible for the following: - Maintain high personal safety and environmental standards in accordance with Company policy. Be aware and contribute in "Your Safety is My Safety" vision. - Assist with the monthly cost and value reconciliation supplying requested information such as material and plant accruals - Input into Assessed Cost Database or similar cost collation tool - Process Subcontractor payments - Bought ledger invoice clearance to agreed payment terms, raising queries with suppliers where necessary - Produce cost monitoring reports - Collate allocation sheets and records - Maintain document filing system - Collate commercial data into regular reports - Analyse collated data and exception reports - Assist in general with commercial functions - Attend meetings and training sessions - Maintain personal diary - Utilise computer software packages for word processing, spread-sheets, graphics and presentations - Ensure compliance and adherence with project and company commercial procedures to follow an agreed process for cost control **Who are we looking for?** - GCSE in English and Mathematics - Previous Industry experience would be an advantage - To be diligent and motivated - Demonstrate a desire to learn and progress - Show interest to increase your knowledge of the construction industry - Good communication skills - Good IT skills **What’s in it for you?** - Competitive salary - A wide range of family friendly policies - 8 % matched pension contributions - Private healthcare - Life assurance - 26 days holiday - 2 wellbeing days - 1 volunteering day - Personal and professional development **BAM Nuttall is also committed to equality of opportunity in all its employment practices, and to developing policies that support work-life balance.** **Who are we?** The art of building is about building for communities; it’s about building for life.
