We are looking for a Pre Contract Commercial Manager to join our team based in Nottingham.
**Here's what you'll be doing**
We have an exciting opportunity for a Pre Contract Commercial Manager to join our Green Funding Solutions team. Here, you will lead on all commercial submissions and proposals for client projects (both tender and negotiated) on behalf of E.ON Green FundingSolutions. You will be pro-active and have a creative approach to problem solving. In this role, you will be responsible for all pre contract estimation and business financial requirements along with supporting the applicability of E.ON supply chain partnersto drive performance throughout the business unit. This role will offer the hybrid working approach, where you will be working in the office (Trinity - Nottingham) 2-3 days in the office per week.
**Responsibilities**
- Lead on the overall cost plan for E.ON GFS, including pricing for tender/bid opportunities, estimation, bills of quantities and business financial requirements pre bid submission
- Prepare and lead the procurement plan for E.ON Green Funding Solutions projects.
- Analyse all tender documents, bills of quantities and other project documentation in order to submit financially viable project submissions reflective of the current market
- Research, source, negotiate and obtain the most viable options from suppliers and subcontractors
- Lead negotiations with suppliers and contractors as part of a multi-functional team to build a cost-effective supply chain.
- Manage the preparation of contracts / pricing schedule for all types of contracts (T&M, NEC and JCT, and bespoke service agreements).
- Analyse business practices and market conditions to evaluate bid responsiveness, contractor responsibility and performance.
- Be a key stakeholder in influencing in the project bid / no bid process
- Visiting contractor and supplier offices and sites (if required)
- Manage the internal service providers and create strategic partnerships to leverage the maximum value to E.ON.
- Manage and ensure the carrying out of all duties including commercial control of projects, viability of subcontract partners and cost analysis and cost performance reporting against budgets. Monitoring the performance of projects from a contract and commercialpoint of view.
- Assist the Delivery Team on project performance relating to contractual, commercial and financial issues.
- Provide contract support to the delivery team, to resolve conflicts with clients, suppliers and contractors.
- Support the delivery teams relating to the technical and commercial factors of the project.
- Keeping detailed records and reports of all project submissions
- Ensure all my actions and behaviours treat our customers fairly and comply with regulations.
**What we need from you**
**Essential skill requirements**
- Strong financial and commercial experience
- Strong management experience within a quantity surveying / pre contract department
- Detailed experience of tender assessment and negotiations, with the ability to analyse and understand the technical elements of projects
- Experience of specification writing and contract negotiation
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills with the ability to build complex cost proposals
- Experience in the domestic Energy Efficiency, Renewable Heat and Generation market with Local Authorities and Housing Associations
- Experience in modelling ECO and third-party funding to maximise Green Funding Solutions commercial opportunity and value to the Customer
- An ability to think strategically about both partner and supply chain relationships, to secure the best long-term results for the team
