A successful manufacturing business are recruiting a Procurement Manager. Applicants need strategic and operational procurement expertise, have the ability to develop category strategies and significant experience of low cost country sourcing.

The Procurement Manager will have leadership experience/potential, gravitas and be able to foster excellent stakeholder relationships at both site and group level. This is an exciting strategic procurement role, focused around cost-down activities, low costcountry sourcing and group interaction. At the same time, the Procurement Manager will need to balance both site and group targets/objectives.

Specific duties of the Procurement Manager include:

- Develop supply chain partnerships and relationships in low cost regions - China, India, Far East etc.
- Develop procurement strategies across, predominately direct areas of spend - electronics, metalwork etc
- Support NPI activities from a procurement perspective
- Creation and negotiation of T&CS and long term agreements with suppliers
- Post-signature supplier relationship management and development activities
- Achievement of cost-down and cost-reduction objectives
- Stakeholder engagement - Manufacturing, Engineering, NPI, Site Directors etc.

Procurement Manager applicants should meet the following criteria:

- Significant experience of low cost country sourcing and knowledge of global supply chains
- Appreciation of supplier landscapes in China, India, Far East etc.
- Procurement experience at a strategic, managerial or category level in a manufacturing or engineering business
- Management experience, gravitas and leadership potential
- Previous experience of negotiating and managing contracts. Basic contract law knowledge
- Degree, MCIPS or deep procurement experience within the relevant fields
