**The Role**:
We are currently recruiting for a Data & Analytics Lead to join the Avove IT business unit.
As the Data & Analytics Lead, you will establish and build a Data and Analytics function within Avove to drive the creation of insights and value from all types of data analytics and ultimately improve the performance of the business (efficiency / productivity, revenue growth, margin improvement and customer satisfaction).
**Responsibilities**:
- Lead the development and execution of the roadmap for Data and Analytics, and BI alongside the Performance Insights Lead, across Avove.
- Work with the business to understand and map the driver trees, levers, and lead metrics for performance improvement.
- Guide and develop the analytics and intelligence needed to inform the business, and facilitate decision making, including the selection and implementation of toolsets needed for this. Work with the Performance Insights Lead to develop the dashboards and visualisations of metrics, KPI’s and trends needed to drive business performance.
- Automate the creation of reporting across the business to streamline currently offline, manual (Excel) processes.
- Build a business case for the creation of a Data and Analytics team and start to demonstrate measurable benefit from the realisation of that business case.
- Work with key stakeholders to evolve a data led culture. Be an advocate for the appropriate use of data and insight to support the companies’ objectives.
- Ensure the integrity of all data repositories, models and reporting to inspire confidence in the reliability of the data.
- Manage security, access and control framework around BI and data platforms to ensure adherence to good practices and company standards.
**Skills & Experience**:
- Significant experience establishing or leading a Data, Analytics or Business Intelligence team.
- Significant experience in the creation, development and maintenance of data repositories, warehouses, data lakes, cloud platforms (such as MS Azure) and modern reporting and business intelligence and visualisation platforms (such as MS Power BI)
- Significant experience with building and exploiting data models, statistical or predictive analytics, machine learning or artificial intelligence.
- Experience embedding insights and data analytics into business decision making to drive business performance.
- Experience with MS SQL databases and programming languages such as Python and R.
