Maldon Partners are recruiting a Senior Market Risk position role on a permanent basis for a market leading Global financial services firm based in the city.

**The Role**:
The main purpose of the Senior Market Risk role is to assist in the completion of day to day market risk tasks, monitor counterparty risk and be responsible for various approvals across all business lines. This is an opportunity to be involved in variousprojects including, but not limited to enhancing risk reporting, identifying gaps and keeping on top of on-going risk documentation

Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

- To manage and complete the day to day market risk procedures and be involved in higher level decision making
- To monitor risks and ensure compliance with trading mandates along with counterparty risk, escalating any breach of mandated limits.
- To review regularly produced market risk reports to monitor the compliance of various limits and policy guidelines.
- To monitor and manage risk and positions across various Electronic Trading Platforms and ensure any breaches and client related trading issues are dealt with on a timely basis.
- To monitor intraday price movements and stay abreast of market developments which could impact the company and / or clients.
- To ensure all risk processes are fully documented as per regulatory requirements.
- To approve cash movements and position transfers.
- To work towards streamlining and making more efficient all risk procedures and processes.
- To maintains daily reporting.
- To ensure and evidence that daily tasks are completed in a timely basis and within the scope of defined risk management policies.
- Ad hoc duties as required.

**Experience Required**:

- Solid experience of Market risk gained within a financial services firm (trading company, bank or brokerage)
- Strong understanding of various asset classes such as FI, Equities, FX, Commodities and Metals
- Excellent understanding of various trading platforms (ICE, CME, FFF etc)
- Desire to move into a leadership role in the very near future

**Salary**:
The Senior Market Risk role has a base salary of **c£85,000**depending on experience with an excellent benefits package and also **bi-annual bonus**.
