Head of Aesthetics

**Reporting To**:Group** **Spa Director**

**Job Purpose**:
To assure the smooth running of the Aesthetics department across 2 sites (KX &KXU) and provide day-to-day support to all staff and independent contractors. Responsible for the highest standard of customer service being delivered to all members and guests visiting your department within the Spa.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES**:

- To research and implement new ideas, treatments, products and equipment
- Carry out regular inspections of the spa areas & treatment rooms to ensure all areas are maintained, equipment is safe/working, and cleanliness standards are adhered to.
- Work with Spa Director to formulate the annual promotional and marketing plan
- Work with the Spa Director to create and execute spa events, activations
- Oversee aesthetic treatments to make sure they in line with brand standards
- Ensure the highest level of customer service is being delivered
- Propose and implement suggestions and ideas to elevate the brand standards
- Work with marketing and Spa Director to create and produce content and ideas for spas independent Instagram account
- Prompting reception team to ensure regular client contact regarding expired packages, special offers
- Keeping up to date with any new treatments, offers or marketing drives competitors are doing
- Work with Spa Director on any new major projects

**Members/Clients**
- To ensure all members always receive the highest levels of customer service
- To introduce yourself to all new members and offer full support and knowledge with recommending treatments and therapists
- To maintain and build relationships with members and spa clients to ensure clients wishes are met, open lines of communication are maintained and being a point of contact for all members
- To successfully deliver informative and relevant information to all members and clients about new treatments, therapists and promotions
- Deal with any payment or account queries and issues that reception are unable to resolve
- Follow up on all outstanding payments on a weekly basis and actively pursue anyone who reception has been unable to get payment from
- Liaising with other team members and departments to ensure consistency with anything being promoted
- Keeping up to date with any new treatments, offers or marketing drives competitors are doing

**Training**
- Create training and learning plans for the internal beauty and aesthetic teams to ensure standards and offering is met
- Carrying out Internal beauty and aesthetic team training when required
- Leasing and arranging external training for the teams. To be signed off by Spa Director
- Carry out treatment and retail training with reception teams

**Reporting**
- Work closely with the Spa Director when setting realistic and achievable monthly targets for each of the beauty team members
- Send the Spa Director a weekly report on the previous week’s treatment sales. Breaking it down by treatment type to analyse key performers and identify areas for improvement

**Meetings**
- Arranging and holding monthly beauty meetings either on site or online
- Attend beauty and aesthetic conferences and feedback overview of industry trends

**Business Development**
- Work on beauty and aesthetic partnerships across the group
- New treatment and technology sourcing
- Build a case for new treatment technology when putting it forward
- Work closely with the Spa Director to plan for new equipment purchases
- Carry out regular competitor analysis for beauty and aesthetic to ensure KX and KXU is in line with competition

**Special Treatment License and Laser Protection Advisor**
- Act as the laser protection advisor for the group
- Carry out weekly checks on laser consultation forms and logbooks
- Ensure all team are adhering to laser rules
- Organise spot checks from laser met
- Make special treatment license aware if any new equipment or treatments are taken on

**Equipment**
- Carry out weekly checks on all equipment across both sites
- Arrange servicing when needed on all beauty and aesthetic equipment
- Arrange repairs of beauty and aesthetic equipment when needed

**Financials**
- Work closely with the spa director to set budgets for yearly equipment service
- Work closely with the spa director on CapEx purchasing

**Recruitment**
- Undertake all hiring for beauty therapists, aestheticians and nail technicians across the group
- Carry out interviews and trade tests for beauty therapists, aestheticians and nail technicians
- Support the Spa Director with agreeing contractual terms with all potential new hires
