Commercial Manager - Poole - Salary up to £45,000 DOE
A Commercial Manager is required for our client based in Poole to join the team for budgeting and allowances in the construction division. The main aspect of the role is to provide profit returns in line with an established forecast and assisting with thedelivery of contracts to achieve the overall business plan, both projects and companywide.
Main responsibilities:
- Work with the project team to achieve the project specific KPI's
- Budget and balance the financial management of allocated projects and agreed targets.
- Prepare company reports on allocation and budget of allowances for each project.
- Creating and building relationships with suppliers and internal employees.
- Provide support to the contract and divisional manager to ensures project is delivered on time and to the required specification.
- Estimating and purchasing reviews, agreements, and measurements to support the team.
- Assist with final accounts submission in accordance with the protocols of Sub-contracts that we are engaged under, with fully detailed information in support and agreed timely.
- Monitor payment terms and performance with Accounts Department.
- Value, submit and agree variations in accordance with the requirements of the Sub-contract.
- In conjunction with the Purchasing Department assist with Sub-contract Purchase Orders in line with the Cost & Estimating allowances.
- Sub-Contractor/Supplier Management
Key Skills:
- Excellent numerical knowledge and experience
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Advanced working knowledge of Excel spreadsheets.
- Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal
- Reliable and excellent timekeeping
- An understanding of the construction industry would be beneficial
