Senior Accountant required for an Accountancy Practice offering a range of Accountancy services, tax and business growth services based in Wolverhampton.

**Job description**:
Within this role, you will have an opportunity to enhance skills, progress and build a long-term future and partnership within a well-respected practice and reap the rewards from your own efforts.

The role is primarily office based but will involve some visits to clients. You will work on a variety of assignments managing a portfolio of small and medium sized businesses (mainly Limited Companies, some partnerships and sole traders) across a wide numberof industry sectors. You will work with business owners to assist with all areas of financial and tax compliance, review monthly financial position and help them to achieve their business goals.

You will also undertake a supervisory role to other members of the Office Team.

Ideally, you will be a real allrounder who is capable of managing and standing in to help with peaks and troughs and ad hoc projects. This is a varied role, solving client problems and undertaking projects whilst retaining day to day involvement with routineaccounts, tax and added value advice.

Responsibilities will include:

- Managing your own portfolio of clients
- Year-end compliance work: Preparation of Final Accounts and tax computations from client records
- Preparation of Management accounts.
- Preparation of Corporation Tax returns, Personal Tax returns and a variety of other returns.
- Liaising with HMRC
- Attendance at client meetings
- Advising clients on a range of financial and other matters with the support of internal and external specialists
- Supervision of other members of the team.
- Business growth advice and generally adding value to client’s businesses

**Skills / Experience;**
- You will be AAT / ACCA Qualified, ideally, minimum of 5 years post qualification experience in a professional Accountancy Practice.
- Experience of dealing with a diverse range of businesses within a practise setting.
- Experience of using various types of accountancy software ideally including Sage 50, Xero, Quickbooks.
- Regular user of Microsoft Office products, general IT skills and cloud based experience.
- Professional client facing manner and the ability to maintain and build existing and new client relationships.
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Strong presentation and organisation skills
- Excellent communication skills and be capable of communication at all levels

Salary circa £42k - £45k depending on experience.
