We are looking for an enthusiastic, patient focused Medicines Counter Assistant to work within a very high paced environment to help us drive forward our growing business.

**Pay negotiable depending on experience**

The Medicines Counter Assistant is a key member of the pharmacy team. You are the first person many customers will see when coming into the pharmacy, speak to when seeking healthcare advice and interact with when collecting a prescription or asking for help when they wish to purchase a medicine.
As a Medicines Counter Assistant (MCA) or Trainee Medicine Counter Assisitant (TMCA) you will provide advice to patients on a range of common ailments. You will appropriately sell over-the-counter medicines to patients and handle prescriptions within the pharmacy. You will work under the supervision of a responsible pharmacist and a very knowledgeable and experienced team, who will always be available should you need to refer a patient or seek advice.
You will have good general retail skills, be friendly, plus enjoy providing consistent and excellent customer service.
- a Medicines Counter Assistant qualification, however training will be given

**Responsibilities**
- Taking in and handing out prescriptions
- Pro-active approach to the new Pharmacy First scheme
- Using a computer to generate stock lists and orders
- Receiving and loading deliveries
- Selling over the counter medicines
- Dealing with customer queries and where required referring to the pharmacist
