An exciting opportunity has become available to join the Community Safety Team as its Business Support Officer.

The role will support the activities of the Community Safety Team, ASB Team and other regulatory and enforcement functions within the Community Safety and Enforcement Service. By supporting a range of operational and strategic meetings, as well as business functions of the team, you will be integral to the delivery of the Community Safety Partnership, Domestic Abuse, Serious Violence and Prevent Boards and activity linked to problem solving. Other regulatory and enforcement activity will be supported including within the services other functions.

The central aim of the Community Safety Team is to improve the safety of local residents and those who work or visit the borough. The Community Safety Partnership has significant responsibilities, including having oversight of the borough’s crime reduction, anti-social behavior and domestic abuse strategy, policy and partnership developments.

The Business Support post has a key role in ensuring the effectiveness and the smooth running of all subgroups and related boards and task and finish groups. The role will work closely with the Community Safety Manager and other key stakeholders to co-ordinate and ensure effective business support for all delivery groups and related work and business support needs for the Wokingham Community Safety Partnership (CSP). This will include the co-ordinating and distribution of minutes, agendas and circulation of all related papers. Accurate record keeping and file maintenance and invoice monitoring and processing.
