I am working with a unique client who supply into the Pharmaceutical industry who due to internal promotion are seeking for a Buyer to join their successful team on a permanent full time basis.

**Reporting to the General Manager you will**
- Identify potential new suppliers and communicate with the Quality team to bring these new suppliers on board.
- Play a key role in developing relationships with current suppliers, ensuring that you are sourcing the best product range at the best possible price across our portfolio
- Visit suppliers and attend trade shows
- Source new products Manage & develop supplier relationships
- Assess new product lines are appropriate and of interest to our customers and developing a good understanding of future trends and buying practices in the market.
- Arrange and co-ordinate transport and collection arrangements for all goods ordered.
- Place orders with suppliers ensuring maximum stock availability in line with our target stock levels and expiry date policies.
- Respond to queries from other departments in relation to stock and pricing.
- Resolve pricing and quantity discrepancies with Goods Inwards and Finance.

**About you**
- + 2 years experience of working within a purchasing/procurement role
- Strong knowledge of IT systems
