Seven Resourcing are looking for a number of temporary Street Scene and Waste Operatives to work in Plymouth. These positions are initially for a period of 9 months and will be paying £11.18 PAYE or £13.45 umbrella per hour. The role involves working fromMonday - Friday (06:30 - 16:15).

**The role**:
To keep the city and local environment clean, tidy and adequately maintained with minimum disruption to residents and the public in compliance with relevant environmental legislation.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Removal of waste or recycling from residential and business properties and public land/highway in accordance with Health and Safety guidelines and Codes of Practice. Carry out grounds maintenance and cleansing as directed in a safe working manner withinCodes of practice.
- Responsible for cleaning locations where spillages and split bags have taken place and responsible for safe removal of hazardous substances.
- Ensure areas are left clean and tidy after collections /operations, including replacement of bins.
- Report unsafe working practices to line manager.
- Collecting various types of waste and recycling from commercial and residential properties throughout the city.
- Cleanse public land, highways, and main roads as directed by line manager.
- Carry out grounds maintenance as directed including using mechanical hand tools such as pedestrian mower, strimmers and hedge cutters.

**Applicant Requirements**:
**Qualifications**:
NVQ Level 2 Waste Management.

**Experience**:2+ years working within a similar role.

**Compliance**:Proof of right to work in the UK and references covering the last 2 years.

**Travel**:Clean UK driving license with the ability to commute to and from work independently.

**Hours**:37 hours p/w.
