**Head of Land (Opportunity for further progression within 18 months) - Quality Housebuilder**

**Basic £80,000 to £95,000 (DOE) + Car + Package + Lucrative Bonus.**

Cognisant Search has been instructed to appoint a Head of Land on behalf of a client that develops, highly desirable, design-led family homes on sites of between 50-250 units within areas of high demand. The business has very strong financial backing and is currently undertaking a period of sustainable growth.

Key to growth is the acquisition of land and they will consider people from a planning background looking to move into land acquisition, strategic land background or traditional immediate land. They offer a very quick decision process as well as turnaround from acquisition to planning.

Responsibilities include:

- Working closely with the Managing Director, you will be responsible for developing enduring relationships with landowners, agents and within the wider professional community. Client entertainment is expected.
- Identifying profitable and desirable sites across the North East, conditional and unconditional.
- Once identified, you will lead the appraisal process and present your findings to the board for approval, progressing sites through the early development process once acquired
- You are ambitious, enthusiastic and an excellent communicator
- Land buying experience with a demonstrable track record of growing and leading a team
- You are a passionate team player who wants to play a major part in the success of a business

We are keen to speak with Heads of Land, Senior Land Managers or Land Directors who would like to work for a growing business that develops an attractive product. The opportunities for career progression are excellent and you will be exposed to the wider aspects of the development process too.
