**Support Worker/Home Care Assistant, **with Minster Home Care

Minster Home Care is an expanding family run domiciliary care company based in York and we love to recognise and reward the hard work and commitment of all of our team. We offer **weekly paid mileage**, **flexible hours **and have various **staff incentives **for our team**.**

To apply, applicants must hold a drivers licence with access to a vehicle, **or** have use of a bicycle. Cyclists must be able to access either Huntington or Rawcliffe areas of the city.

**What hours will I work?**
You will work on a permanent shift pattern, leaving you free to organise and enjoy your own personal time with friends and family. Our service operates from 7am -10pm, 7 days per week so we have full time and part time roles available.

**The benefits of working with Minster Home Care are;**
- **£11.75 per hour**:

- **6 hour, 8 hour or 10 hour shifts available **(with a break included)
- Mileage paid at **40 pence** per business mile, **paid weekly**:

- **Contract of employment,** with guaranteed paid hours for consistent wages

**What does working as a Support Worker/Home Care Assistant involve?**

You will be responsible for travelling around the York area visiting clients in their own home to provide personal care and companionship services
- Providing **Personal Care & Companionship services**:

- **Helping clients in and out of bed**:

- Supporting clients with **hobbies and activities**:

- Providing a range of **non-medical services**

**What happens when I start working at Minster Home Care?**
Before you meet any of our clients, you will attend an induction day at our office and a day to be trained on moving and handling people. You will be paid for this training.
After this, you will shadow a colleague so that you become comfortable and settle into your new role. As the business grows, there are often great opportunities to develop your career with various NVQ courses and accreditations available. All you need is a caring nature and a positive attitude
