JOB SPECIFICATION

Izakaya Japanese Bar are looking for experienced chefs or Sushi / Ramen chef to join our team.

We are looking for like minded individuals that have a passion for catering to take it to the next level.

Flexible hours with immediate start.

We are a restaurant who specializes in high-quality, fresh food based on a unique combination of tradition Japanese small plates, sushi and some rice / noodle dishes. You will play a vital role in helping to prepare and cooking. (extra training will be provided). Expect to demonstrate your skill in cooking, preparation, presentation and management independently.

We are looking for friendly chefs with exceptional talent who work independently and as part of a team.

Roles

1 x Full Time Chef (42-48 Hrs/pw)

1 x Part Time Chefs (16-20+ Hrs/pw)
- At least 1-2 years’ experience in kitchen / food preparation
- Experience & knowledge of Japanese cooking preferred but not essential
- Work well under pressure and pro-active in a busy environment
- Work Clean & Tidy
- Work well in a team, follow directions and willing to help others
- Must be able to work weekends and evenings
- Knowledgeable about food hygiene and safety
- Food Hygiene certification level 2,3 preferred but not essential
- Be punctual and attentive

Pay depends on experience in catering.

Overview:
**Duties**:

- Support the kitchen staff in meal preparation and presentation
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as washing, peeling, and cutting ingredients
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen areas
- Follow food safety guidelines and regulations
- Help with inventory management and stock rotation
- Collaborate with cooks and chefs to ensure smooth kitchen operations

**Experience**:

- Previous experience in a culinary environment is preferred
- Knowledge of kitchen operations, catering, or restaurant settings is a plus
- Familiarity with food safety practices and procedures
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills and a team player mentality

Pay: £11.44-£13.00 per hour
