We are looking for an experienced Care / Support worker to join our team of Personal Assistants supporting one of our clients in the Blackburn area The role will be varied, but you will be supporting our client with Autism and PICA, who is is also deaf and non verbal, to lead an individual and independent lifestyle within their own home and the community. Our client has a wide range of interests particularly sensory play and swimming, and also enjoys going to the space centre

You will be working as part of a small team on a 2:1 basis on the following shift pattern**:22** **hours per week**: Monday and Wednesday: 10am-3pm, Thursday 10am-4pm and Sunday 3pm-9pm.

All training is provided and will consist of e-learning courses, face-to-face sessions, practical training, clinical training and competencies. The training is bespoke to the client and fully comprehensive for meeting their needs. We also provide refresher training on a regular basis, to keep your knowledge and skills current.

**Who we are looking for**:
You must be self motivated, well organised, reliable and an excellent team player. As well as being a naturally caring and compassionate person, we’re seeking Care / Support workers with experience of:

- Provisioning support to clients with a severe learning disability and profound deafness
- Supporting with personal care
- Administration of medication.
- Providing companionship
- Household cleaning as part of the day to day routine.
- Working as part of a team of PAs
- Experience in learning disabilities (preferred but training will be given)
- Following the care plans and current safety guidelines

**You should also have**:

- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Flexibility to cover annual leave and sickness
