**The role**
We are looking for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to come and join the team at our fantastic practice in Gravesend.

The role will involve all aspects of nursing working alongside our fully supportive and experienced team.

In this diverse and dynamic role, you’ll be an RCVS Registered Nurse with small animal practice experience, you put high standards of patient care first and can demonstrate how you’ve worked with empathy and demonstrated initiative when needed. You also understand not only your role but also the capabilities of PCA’s and student nurses, and are eager to help colleagues to develop their skills and knowledge.

**Full time salary package up to £30,000 depending on experience**:

- Starting salary £30,000 per annum
- 40 hours per week with 1:4 weekends
- £750 CPD allowance with 2-days CPD leave and in-house CPD available
- RCVS and VDS fees paid
- 5 weeks paid annual leave plus bank holidays
- Fair share of bank holiday cover with time back in lieu
- Minimal on-call duties to support our dedicated night team, if required

**Key accountabilities**
- Ensure compliance with veterinary ethics and relevant statutes, policies, and procedures
- Support Clinical Coaches with the planning of student tutorials and training where necessary
- Nursing/discharge of in-patients, prioritising patient welfare and care.
- Training of junior nurses & supporting students in practice.
- Running in house lab samples and organising repeat prescriptions.
- Nurse consultations.
- Maintain patients’ medical records

**Skills and experience**
- Registered with the RCVS
- Commitment to animal welfare
- Ability to keep on top of practise protocols and procedures
- Excellent organisational skills
