We are currently looking for an experienced and forward thinking HR professional who will provide a consistent, confidential and professional HR service to both managers and staff at Walsall College.

The ability to handle sensitive employee issues on a daily basis is a vital attribute required for this role, and you will be expected to work effectively, building strong working relationships across the College.

A big part of this role is co-ordinating and promoting the college’s health and wellbeing initiative to all staff and co-ordinating Onboarding for new staff joining the College. Experience in these areas are highly desirable.

Working in partnership with the Payroll function, you will also be responsible for submitting a monthly payroll collation for any changes across the organisation, and you will also co-ordinate and action the HR aspects of the family-friendly processes including maternity, paternity, adoption, shared parental leave, career breaks, flexible working, etc.

Monitoring sickness for employees in line with the Sickness Absence Policy and Procedure, you will arrange and attend sickness meetings as and when required.

A CIPD level 5 qualification and/or significant relevant HR experience (at least 5 years) are essential to succeed in this role.
