Sheridan Main is currently working with a leading company in the insurance sector, working with some of the major business partners in the industry.
We are now looking for a **Finance Assistant**, for their office based in Winchester. Convenient and easy access to transports services.The role offers a basic salary + pension contributions, life cover, annual bonus scheme, study support and22 days holiday with the opportunity to do extra days.
**Your responsibilities will include**:

- Preparation of cashbooks and associated bank/scheme reconciliation and reporting
- Preparation of direct debit collections and associated reporting
- Processing refunds via different payment methods
- Handling both written and verbal communications
- Cash management responsibilities

**Key Competencies**:

- Meticulous and accurate record keeping
- Methodical approach to all aspects of the role
- Confidence in using web and Microsoft Excel (Lookups, Pivot Tables, Formulas)
- Ability to work in a small team of four on own initiative and without direct day-to-day supervision
- A positive ‘can-do’ attitude to deal with unexpected ad hoc tasks
- Someone who is innovative and shows willing to support the department move from a range of manual processes to improve automation
- Good working knowledge of Sage Financial an advantage (not essential)
- 2 years’ experience in accounting and/or relevant degree is essential

**You are required to be eligible to work in the UK full time without restriction.
