This vacancy is for the holder to assist with the delivery of the paediatric respiratory physiology service at King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. They also would provide a full range of routine lung function tests for children including spirometry, gas transfer, FeNO and lung volumes.

They would assist with the delivery of the paediatric sleep study service at King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and provision of sleep study analysis for oximetry, transcutaneous CO2 and respiratory polygraph sleep studies.

1. Liaising with the Paediatric Respiratory Physiology Research Group at King’s College London, School of Life Course Sciences regarding all matters of operational and estates management, procurement, maintenance, service development and policy/strategic goals such as may impact research activity in the King’s College London-owned laboratory space.

2. Responsibility for the accurate data recording of diagnostic tests on relevant systems to enable reimbursement.

3. With support of service management team, ensure that processes are in place for recording, audit and monitoring.

1. Assisting to ensure that the paediatric respiratory physiology and sleep services adhere to the 6-week diagnostic target, working with the administration and clerical team to make sure that all attendances are logged and coded as required.

2. Assisting in the recruitment, training, and development of clinical and administrative staff for the paediatric respiratory physiology service.

3. Responsibility for the ordering and stock control of consumables (stock and nonstock items) for the paediatric service whilst adhering to the budget available.
