Product Technology is about ensuring the quality and safety of our products. From original source, factory production and end use. We are always looking for ways to make improvements and improve the experience and safety of all our products for our customer.

As a Junior Product Technologist, you’ll help us deliver the category strategy by supporting the Technical Manager. You’ll work with both internal and external stakeholders to deliver product to required UK and EU standards. This will mean liaising with buyers, designers, merchandisers, and supply chain internally and manufacturers in the UK and overseas. This role is and exciting opportunity to gain experience working with other cultures and with different time zones.

**Responsibilities**
- Oversee and approve rating labels and wash care labelling.
- Undertake product testing as and when required.
- Assist in approval of packaging copy approval and advise all necessary symbols needed.
- Create and manage technical records (technical files, technical spreadsheets, product standards, testing reports, workbooks etc) in line with company procedures and legal guidelines.
- Deal with non-conformance issues and keep internal stakeholders aware of technical challenges and work with the Technical Manager to advise corrective actions.
- Plan and manage the review of inspection reports and corrective actions with suppliers. Keep records and keep merchandisers advised of inspection results.
- Attend Customer Service meetings and ensure corrective actions are noted and actioned internally and externally.
- Assist in reviewing customer services serious fault reports as necessary.
- Prepare instruction manuals on own label products and obtain approval from internal stake holders.
- Supports technical team with administrative task such as data collection and interpretation, preparation, review, and sample management, contacting suppliers and testing laboratories as appropriate.
- Contributes to Product development and continued product improvement of others in the team.
- Keep up to date with necessary legislation changes and inform the wider team.
- Keep up to date with sustainability changes in quality control and product and inform the wider team.

**About you**:

- Product Technical or Quality experience is an advantage butt not essential
- Good IT knowledge especially Excel & MS Office.
- Analytical & Numerical skills.
- Commercially aware in terms of the market and trends, this includes a keen understanding of sustainability and possible improvements the business can take.
- Good communication skills and able to engage at all levels internally and externally with good written and verbal communication skills.
- Able to deliver results whilst working under pressure in a fast-moving, dynamic retail environment, as an individual and within a team.
- Capable of delivering results under pressure and to strict deadlines.
- Tenacious and determined.
- Quality focused.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Graduate

**Salary**: Up to £25,000.00 per year
