Quality and Safeguarding Lead

As the Quality and Safeguarding lead, the post holder will directly oversee and monitor the quality & safety aspects of services commissioned through Dorset HealthCare University NHS Foundation Trust as Lead Provider, currently adult eating disorder service.
The person will work closely with the quality & governance team’s within Providers as well as maintaining strong links with the NHSE regional quality team. The role is integral in ensuring that quality assurance responsibilities and accountabilities are met as Lead Provider.
This is a part-time post of 30 hours per week.
**The post holder is required to**:
Monitor, interpret and quality assure progress against deliverables to NHS England/Improvement.
Ensure governance arrangements are in place to support the delivery of consistently high standards of care through positive engagement and liaison with key stakeholders.
Monitor and contribute to the development of improved standards of clinical quality, patient safety and patient experience across specialised commissioned services.
Be responsible for providing clinical professional expertise to achieve quality outcomes and maintaining professional relationships within the provider collaborative.
Provide specialist quality input on service development proposals and business cases.
Provide detailed quality reports as required using both qualitative and quantitative information drawn from local, regional and national data sources; Identify emerging trends and themes and potential quality concerns.
Employment in this post requires a Standard Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, which the Trust will cover the cost of. Applicants who subscribe to the DBS update service are able to present a valid DBS certificate instead of requiring a new check.
