**About the Role**:

- Lead the Accounts Payable function in the UK and EMEA, ensuring seamless service to high-profile vendors/clients.
- Oversee vendor query management and identify improvements across AP tasks.
- Manage direct reports in the AP function for tasks like invoice logging, issue resolution, and statement reconciliations.
- Support coaching and training requirements for the team.
- Use data insights to prioritize workload and meet deadlines.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders across the business.
- Work to KPIs, provide operational reviews, and metrics.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Ensure accurate, efficient, and timely operation of ledgers for on-time payments.
- Lead the team using data insights and align with requirements.
- Smooth operation of weekly payment runs with accuracy checks.
- Proactively review and improve processes and procedures.
- Support audits and month-end processes.
- Investigate and resolve supplier invoice issues, working to prevent reoccurrence.
- Provide support to AP teams through knowledge transfer and best practices.
- Extensive experience supporting an Accounts Payable team in a large organization.
- Financial background.
- Experience in a Shared Service centre would be preferable.
- Ability to plan, organise, and prioritise workload.
- Team player with the ability to work independently.
- Stakeholder management skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to achieve challenging targets and deadlines.
- Enthusiastic and 'can-do' attitude.
- Confident and adaptable leadership style.
- Ability to adapt positively to changing structures or processes.
- Strong communication skills.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract

**Salary**: £25,000.00-£29,000.00 per year
