**Our client**:
Our client is one of the **top 50 accountancy firms **with multiple offices in the UK. They provide a full range of business services, from auditing, accounting and other compliance services, to deal advisory, HR consultancy and International Taxationadvice.
**The Role**:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an **Audit **Senior **to join their ever growing team. You will be working predominantly with the audit team on a diverse portfolio of clients including entrepreneurial owner managed businesses, high net worthindividuals and some public interest entities. You will also get involved with ad hoc specialist assignments as and when they arise.
**Job Purpose**:
- Oversee the audit process for each job, reporting to the corresponding manager/partner
- Effective supervision of semi-senior and junior staff, including leading teams on assignments
- To produce accurate draft accounts with mínimal outstanding queries, together with a well-presented audit file in a timely and methodical manner
**Responsibilities**:
- Working on a diverse portfolio of clients including small and medium sized privately owned limited companies, LLP’s, partnerships and sole traders
- Acting as on-site senior, responsible for planning, execution (compliance and substantive testing, analytical review, etc.) and completion of audit work to a high standard
- Effective supervision of semi-senior and junior staff, so must be able to train juniors during an audit, as well as delegate, monitor and review their work
- Will take full responsibility of each audit assignment and will be responsible for completing the audit work within the agreed timescale with the support and guidance from the relevant manager/partner
- Preparation and implementation of high quality work programmes
- Responsible for dealing with technical issues or seeking guidance where necessary
- Production of draft accounts, from a variety of client records, together with producing a well-presented audit file (paperless) for review
- Agreeing adjustments with clients and dealing with disclosure requirement
**Requirements & qualifications**:
- Qualified ACA, ACCA
- Experience in audit process and accounts preparation
- Must have acquired the necessary skills/experience at senior level to meet the requirements of the role
- Up-to-date working knowledge of financial reporting, accounting standards, auditing standards, company law
- A good basic knowledge of corporate and personal tax to enable draft tax computations to be reviewed
**Desirable**:
- Have Knowledge of Pro-Audit
- Have Knowledge of CCH
