**Job Overview**

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our vibrant team within the cafe at Homebird Interiors in St Annes.

As a Barista, you will have an exceptional knowledge of coffee, being responsible for crafting high-quality beverages and providing exceptional customer service. You will play a key role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers while ensuring that all food safety and hygiene standards are met.

The part-time hours would be a 4 or 5 hours shift, between the hours of 10.00am and 4.00pm. All positions would require one weekend shift, unless otherwise agreed.

Initially this post is open as a maternity cover position, with the possibly of a permanent contract.

**Duties**
- Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the workspace, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.
- Assist with food preparation, including pastries and light snacks, while adhering to health and safety guidelines.
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders accurately, and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
- Manage time effectively to ensure prompt service during busy periods.
- Handle cash & card transactions and maintain accurate records of sales.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure a smooth workflow and positive work environment.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience in a similar role is essential as we really take pride in the standards of our coffee, so someone who has worked in this field before would flourish and be able to develop their own individual skills & potentially progress within their role
- Strong understanding of food safety practices and hygiene standards. Training can be given if the necessary qualifications aren't already achieved.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- A genuine passion for coffee and food preparation is highly desirable.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as required.
