Health Care Assistant

**Job Overview**
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in care homes and home care settings, assisting with daily living activities and ensuring the highest standard of care is maintained. Your ability to communicate effectively and your attention to detail will be vital in helping us deliver personalised care plans that meet the unique needs of each individual.
**Duties**
- Assist residents with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Support individuals in maintaining their independence by encouraging participation in daily activities.
- Implement and follow care plans tailored to each resident's specific needs.
- Communicate effectively with residents, their families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in the health or behaviour of residents.
- Assist with mobility and transportation needs, including driving residents to appointments if required.
- Ensure a clean and safe environment for all residents by adhering to health and safety protocols.
- Engage residents in social activities to promote mental well-being and companionship.
**Qualifications**
- Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is preferred but not essential.
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, are necessary for effective interaction with residents and staff.
- Basic IT skills for maintaining records and documentation are advantageous.
- A valid driving licence is desirable for transporting residents as needed.
- A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others is essential for success in this role.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Pay: Up to £12.21 per hour
Expected hours: 25 - 37.5 per week
