Its a great step up for someone in a front line role within criminal justice or similar to move into a senior role.
Leading a team of 4 staff (1 Family Engagement Worker and 3 Family Support Workers) you will oversee the family services which will include:

- Managing your own caseload as well as overseeing the teams (thisd would typically be a caseload of 20 - 25 clients)
- Ensuring family relationships are fully integrated within a prisons care and rehabilitation plan.
- Oversee family interventions i.e., homework clubs, baby groups, family bonding sessions.
- Promoting and implementing the safeguarding policy, ensuring staff are trained and competent to identify safeguarding concerns and that any concerns are reported in line with the policy.

To apply, you must have management experience from a similar background, so might have worked as a Safeguarding Lead, Family Support Manager, Domestic Violence Manager, Supported Housing Manager or Offender Manager.You might also be a front line worker lookingto take a step up (so for example a probation officer, case manager, youth worker, support worker or resettlement worker).
Please note:The team you manage also work weekends, so for the first three months, you would be expected to spend one day (every other weekend) working inthe prison to get familiar with the team and service.After 3 months any weekend work would be the oddday on an adhoc basis.Otherwise its Monday to Friday, 8.00 - 4.30 or 9.00 - 5.30.
