**About the role**:
Reporting to the Academic Achievement Consultants and Academic Achievement Manager, you will work alongside two other Academic Achievement Advisor**s** **to provide support to our undergraduate and postgraduate-taught students. The centre aims to be a focal point within the University where students can seek help to improve their academic outcomes and develop their learning and research skills

This will be delivered primarily through appointments, drop-ins and workshops, both in-person and online. You will proactively support students on a variety of topics, including;
- Academic writing
- Scientific report writing
- Critical thinking/ writing
- Reading and note-taking strategies
- Time management and motivation
- Revision and exam strategies

**About you**:
As the ideal applicant, you will be educated to degree level or equivalent and have previous experience teaching, tutoring or mentoring students in a higher education, further education or secondary school context. You will have demonstrable knowledge of the academic skills support needs of students, and be aware of the academic writing expectations within a UK higher education context.
