**Credit Controller**:
Location: UK (remote)

Full/part-time: part time, 3 days a week (Tue/Wed/Thu), 11am to 3pm (total 12 hours pw)

**About the role**:
This is a new role, sitting in the Finance department and reporting to the Finance Director. You'll be based in the UK but will work internationally, with a focus on US customers. You'll work alongside the existing Finance team to ensure that our customers pay their invoices in a timely manner.

**What you'll do**:
You'll be responsible for:

- Ensuring that customers pay in line with our payment terms
Chasing customer for remittance advice 4-6 days prior to payment due dates
- Responding to any client queries that come in
- Chasing customers regarding overdue balances to obtain immediate payment
- Inform appropriate parties when a customer account is nonresponsive
- Following up demands for any non-payment as required, with increasing levels of severity, escalating as appropriate
- Keeping a close watch on debtor account balances and reporting on these
- Ensuring that contact details for customers are up to date
- Reconciling accounts on a timely basis
- Preparing monthly reports for management
- Ensuring accurate and timely records are maintained for review at all times
- Answering any internal queries about payments
- Handing bank reconciliations
- Reconciling Xero aged debtors with SaasOptics

**About you**:
You'll have:

- Experience of working with Microsoft Excel and be comfortable and capable with it
- Previous experience with Xero Accounting
- Prior experience of working as a credit controller, ideally in an SME, start-up environment
- Prior experience of working with US customers would be an advantage

You'll be:
