Rayner is a leading developer and manufacturer of ophthalmic implants and pharmaceuticals with global headquarters in Worthing, UK. We specialize in the design and manufacture of intraocular lenses (IOLs) and related products, such as OVDs and pharmaceuticals used in cataract and refractive surgery. Since the manufacture of the world’s first IOL by Rayner in 1949, we have continuously pioneered IOL design with a goal of improving vision and restoring sight worldwide. The first ever FDA- approved IOL was a Rayner lens. Today, over 26 million IOLs are implanted around the world every year, and it is globally the most performed elective surgical procedure. Our mission is simple: to deliver excellent visual outcomes for patients and surgeons.

In June 2021 Rayner was acquired by CVC, an international Private Equity business with substantial funds under management. CVC has already shown itself to be an excellent partner to Rayner and has demonstrated its commitment to grow the business internationally. With CVC as our partner, we have the resources to make further investments in ophthalmology.

Rayner has over 400 employees in the UK, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Spain, Portugal, Italy, US, Canada, Malaysia and India. Today, we have offices in New York and Memphis. Rayner Surgical Inc and Omeros Corporation have announced the signing of an agreement to transfer Omeros’s ophthalmology assets, including OMIDRIA and the teams to support the product to Rayner. Rayner has opened an office in Seattle and the OMIDRIA team will be a big part of our growth.

**Purpose of the Role**:
The purpose of this role is to ensure delivery of products on time and in full while maintaining inventory targets across all Rayner portfolios (Pharmaceuticals, OVDs, IOLs and Factored goods).

You will be responsible to keep track of inventory, anticipate demand and suggest purchases to ensure supply continuity while liaising with Operations, Quality, Customer service, Regulatory, Sales teams, Finance, Suppliers, Logistics and third-party wholesalers.

**Core Role Specifics & Competencies**:
Your key responsibilities will be:

- Develop monthly demand forecast
- Review planning 0-12 months horizon to ensure optimal product supply for Rayner portfolios
- Prepare and drive the monthly Sales and Operations Planning process (S&OP)
- Proactively identify future supply constraints and develop options to mitigate
- Select transportation routes to maximise economy by combining shipments
- Monitor supplier performance to assess ability to meet quality and delivery requirements
- Be responsible for all GxP oversight supply chain activities
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to support an efficient supply chain and demand process
- Actively manage together with other involved functions phase-in and phase-out of products
- Successfully lead projects
- Provide management information
- Support team when required

**Qualifications**:
Essential
- Previous experience in sales and operations planning roles, integrated business planning process (Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Forecasting)
- Educated to degree level (or have equivalent experience in supply chain)
- Successfully taken part in projects and initiatives working within both commercial and supply chain
- Successful track record on continuous improvement initiatives
- Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills

Desirable
- Experience in process automation, simplification (e.g. RCA/RPA)
- APICS certification
- Knowledge and experience of working with ERP systems (Oracle, SAP)
- Knowledge of analytical tools (Power BI, Tableau)
- Understanding and experience of auditing
