**About the role**

We are seeking to appoint an Exams and Administrative Assistant to be part of our Office/Exams team, focusing on providing initial support staff and students, and assisting in maintaining the organisation of the Office/Exams departments.

We are looking for someone who:

- Has excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and accurately
- Is self-motivated to complete required duties and has the ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Has experience of using Microsoft Office Packages
- Has willingness and ability to obtain and/or enhance qualifications and training for the post

All staff are expected to know what to do if they have concerns about a child, take on the responsibility for providing a safe environment and promoting children’s welfare, undertake regular safeguarding and child protection training and, familiarise themselves with
KCSIE
part 1 and local policies and procedures as directed by the trust/academy.

Blue Coat is a successful and oversubscribed school in the heart of the city of Coventry. As a Christian school our intake draws from both the local area and across the city and surrounding areas. Consequently we have a diverse intake and a culturally thriving school. The school was graded 'Outstanding' in its SIAMS inspection and 'Good' by Ofsted in May 2023 with 3 'Outstanding' categories. Our most recent Progress 8 score was +0.42. The vast majority of our students stay on into the sixth form and continue their studies.

We have a large and successful Post 16 provision with 350 pupils on average studying either A levels or Vocational Level 3 courses. We have excellent rates of progression to universities, apprenticeships and employment.
