**Shifts: Monday to Friday (6:00 am - 2:00 pm & 2:00 pm - 10:00 pm alternating weekly)**
**Salary: £13.12 per hour**

We have an exciting opportunity to join a growing production team at our client’s Ashford site as a **Senior Production Operative** on alternating shifts. **Key Responsibilities**:

- **Support Leadership**: Assist the Team Leader and Shift Manager in the efficient running of production lines or designated tasks.
- **Supervisory Role**: Lead and supervise Production Operatives and agency staff, ensuring performance, compliance, and training needs are met.
- **Health & Safety Champion**: Maintain high standards of health and safety practices and promote a culture of safe working across the factory.
- **Operational Excellence**: Operate SCADA systems, perform general porter duties on packing lines, and ensure all machinery is running efficiently.
- **Continuous Improvement**: Drive improvements by implementing Lean Manufacturing techniques and identifying areas for process optimization.

**What We're Looking For**:

- **Leadership Skills**: A hands-on leader who can inspire and guide a team while maintaining a positive and productive working environment.
- **Technical Knowledge**: Strong understanding of routine machine operations and production line equipment, with the ability to manage machinery in the absence of the Team Leader.
- **Problem Solving**: Capable of identifying issues and implementing creative, effective solutions to maintain high-quality standards.
- **Safety Compliance**: Ensure that all health, safety, and hygiene standards are strictly adhered to by all team members.

**Skills & Experience**:

- Experience operating electric counterbalance forklift trucks in a factory environment.
- Proven ability to lead small teams and manage staff performance.
- Analytical skills with experience in completing documentation and data tracking.
- Computer literate and able to operate and monitor production systems.
- Physically capable of handling a hands-on, demanding role within a busy production environment.
