WGM Engineering have an excellent opportunity for a Slinger Signaller to join our Projects Division for a site based position covering the central belt of Scotland on a permanent basis. The main purpose of the role is to work closely as an important part of the Lifting team, communicate well as and when required with the Appointed person and/or lift supervisor to ensure that all works are completed safely and timely. Ensure that all lift plans and rams are fully read, understood and briefed to those concerned, offer valued and educated experience and advice to other team members to help assist in all lifting operations.

**Main duties and responsibilities**
- Ensure lifting operations comply with the law and they secure the health and safety of employees and of all those affected by the operations
- Safely complete the project operation/task on time
- Work well as part of the lifting team and be able to use own initiative when required
- Work well with any Subcontractors associated with lifting operations and be able to review certification
- Executing lifting operations where and when required in line with the approved Lift Plan
- Ensuring that if ground conditions are seen as unsafe for any operations involving Mobile Cranes, Hi-Ab Vehicles, and any Mechanical Apparatus then this is communicated to the Appointed person and Site manager to allow suitable measures to be taken to rectify the conditions prior to any lifting operations commencing
- Ensure that all lifting equipment and plant has been checked pre/post use that it is fit for purpose and all certification is in date and been recorded
- Be able to diversify on site according to your skill set assisting with project delivery when lifting is not required, and the instruction has been given by Site Manager or Site Supervisor
- RAMS - Input, review and brief

**Salary**: £17.50 per hour
