**About the Role**

We are looking for a **skilled and motivated Wood Machinist** to join our growing joinery production team. This is a **hands-on machining role**, producing precision components using a combination of **traditional woodworking machinery and CNC equipment**.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Interpreting and optimising cutting lists and job sheets
- Selecting, grading, and preparing timber (softwood & hardwood)
- Operating and maintaining a variety of woodworking machinery including:

- Panel and circular saws
- Crosscuts (manual and programmable)
- Planers, thicknessers, and spindle moulders
- CNC moulders and edge sanders
- Ensuring accuracy, consistency, and finish quality in machined parts
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient workspace
- Following health & safety procedures at all times

**Essential Skills & Experience**
- **Previous experience in a professional woodworking/joinery environment**:

- Confidence operating **multiple woodworking machines**:

- Knowledge of timber species and machining properties
- Ability to read and follow **technical drawings and cutting lists**:

- A good work ethic, punctuality, and attention to detail

**Preferred (but not essential)**
- Experience with **6 Head moulders** or similar
- Familiarity with **Tool Room also**:

- Bench joinery or stair production experience
